Earlier Easters
I thought a lot about Easters gone by this Holiday weekend. Here are just a few of the memories:
I remembered searching for eggs at a Mall in Toronto, Ontario. I believe I found a $10 gift certificate for a restaurant, since I wasn't from T.O. I never got to use it, but I was still pretty impressed.
I remembered coming across some rabbit food, and wondering why we had rabbit food since we didn't have rabbits. Well I figured out that the Easter Bunny was probably up to something that year.
When our family lived on a college campus we celebrated Abel's first Easter by using one of the college common rooms to have a huge Easter Egg Hunt. It was a great for a Hunt and it was so much fun seeing their excitement (well maybe not Abel - see below).
Another year, Sarah led a group of students to Belize over our Spring/Easter Break and I got horribly sick (read here). The Easter Bunny was considerate enough to postpone the Egg Hunt until I got better and Sarah came home.
We had a great Easter this year, we were all home, all healthy and enjoyed our time together as a family: Esme was not interested in looking for eggs, Abel was hoping that the 'Santa' Bunny was coming, Eva had a great time making (and eating) Resurrection Rolls, and Micah was still VERY impressed with what the Easter Bunny brought to our house.

Aw, I remember this easter! It was a great time...except for when I was hiding upstairs frantically finishing a paper!
I believe this was the year I was introduced to Sarah's Cheesy Potatoes..mmmmm
